The following is a sample of AEC projects with project value, utility and other incentives or rebates and the annual savings the client achieved. When estimating the lighting upgrade or retrofit payback period, subtract the incentive award from the contract value, then divide by the annual savings. The payback periods range from 0.7 to 6.9 years and average 3.4 years.
